Normally the Solan IV operates out of Sandwick, however because of reconstruction work during the 2011 season we are operating out of Aithsvoe in Cunningsburgh. Due to this we are only operating 1 daytime departure, with an increased journey time of 20 minutes.

- All trips are weather permitting, and each crossing lasts approximately 20 minutes.
- Other departures and returns available by prior arrangement.
- To avoid disturbance to wildlife and domestic stock, no dogs are allowed on the island.
- The ferry times connect with the Lerwick – Sumburgh Bus Service Route 6.
