Shetland's essential boat trip
We hope you are all keeping safe and well during these strange and uncertain times.
The star attraction of our trip is the World famous Mousa Broch which is managed by Historic Scotland.
Historic Scotland have advised us that in line with current restrictions many of their sites including Mousa Broch will not re-open until 26th April 2021 at the earliest and only then if the easing of restrictions allows.
Because of this and some other factors such as the April weather, smaller visitor numbers (which is normal during April) We at Mousa Boat have made a decision not to operate a schedule service to Mousa during April.
We will begin with Schedule runs on Saturday the 1st of May 2021 and only then if the most up to date restrictions allow it.
We will however be available for any charter work during April 2021.
To keep our customers safe during our trips we will be running with a maximum of thirty passengers at a time, this allows space for social distancing, even though you will be seated on an open deck we would ask that all passengers wear face masks (unless exempt) and also that you use the hand sanitizer provided as you board.
If required we will do a second boat run (half an hour later) if the visitor numbers on the day are greater than thirty, so no one will miss out.
We look forward to welcoming you all on board and we'll do everything we can to make sure you enjoy your trip with us to experience this beautiful and unique uninhabited Island loaded with all it's wildlife and history including the World famous Mousa Broch.
Take care
Mousa Boat Team
*Storm Petrel trips 2021 are now live, please book early to avoid disappointment.*

look forward to having you onboard.

Welcome Aboard!

We can promise you a warm welcome aboard the Mousa Boat on your journey to explore the enchanting island of Mousa. With its magnificent Iron Age broch and wonderful wildlife this really is the perfect place for visitors to experience the essential nature of Shetland.

We operate regular sailings and tours; a Daytime Island Trip and a Late Evening Storm Petrel Trip, or if you prefer something more leisurely we also run fascinating Short Cruises around the local waters. Whichever sailing you choose, and many do both trips, please don’t leave it to the last day of your visit to Shetland as all sailings are weather dependent, and we know you wouldn’t want to miss the experience of visiting Mousa.
