Shetland's essential boat trip
Thanks to all our customers this season in what was our first year running the ferry service to Mousa. We have met so many interesting people from all over the world. It's been such a pleasure introducing many of you to Mousa and the 2000 plus year old Ironage broch for the first time and meeting others who make the trip as often as they can.
Our amazing storm petrel trips at dusk where you can experience the simmer dim at it's best, watch the return of the petrels from their feeding grounds and as they greet their partners, listen to the incredible churring noise of their call fill the air.

Our one hour Mousa sound cruises were also very popular starting at the Stevenson pier at Sandsayre and heading down towards the Burland broch then across the sound and down the West side of Mousa hearing local history all the way before returning to Sandsayre.

Then there was our charters to Noss where so much wonderful footage was obtained of the gannet colony and their feeding frenzy, the artic skuas, black guillemots, artic terns, oyster catchers, fulmars and many more, as well as viewing spectacular cliff sceneary.

We will be available for some other charter work until mid October.

We are now taking charter bookings for our 2018 season. Please e-mail us with your requirements.

For many years a Mousa Boat has taken visitors on the short crossing from Sandsayre at Sandwick in South Shetland to Mousa. The latest purpose-built Mousa Boat is a twin engine Class VI vessel fully equipped to MCA safety regulations which has seating for 60 passengers. Owned and operated by Shetlanders, their knowledge of these waters and Mousa will make your trip a pleasant and informative experience.

We regularly make special sailings for school parties, further education students and special interest groups - the boat is also available for private charter. For further information on this and group booking rates please contact us.

It will be our pleasure to welcome you aboard the Mousa Boat.
